What is Driving NC II?
Driving NC II focuses on light vehicles such as cars, vans and pick-ups. Beyond driving itself, it covers routine checks and minor servicing, traffic rules and what to do in accidents and emergencies.
It is not the same as a driver’s license. Your license comes from the LTO; the TESDA NC certifies your competency as a professional driver. Many employers — and many overseas driver jobs — ask for both.
What you will learn
The core units of competency in the Driving NC II Training Regulation are:
- Carry out minor vehicle maintenance and servicing
- Drive light vehicle
- Obey and observe traffic rules and regulations
- Implement and coordinate accident-emergency procedures
On top of these, every TESDA qualification includes basic competencies (workplace communication, teamwork, professionalism, occupational health and safety) and common competencies for the sector.
