What is Hairdressing NC II?

The qualification covers the services a salon hairdresser performs every day, from consultation and hair and scalp care to chemical services such as perming, coloring, bleaching and straightening, plus basic haircutting and makeup.

It can be assessed by Certificates of Competency (COCs), so you can certify one group of skills at a time.

What you will learn

The core units of competency in the Hairdressing NC II Training Regulation are:

  • Perform hair and scalp treatment
  • Perform basic hair perming

  • Perform hair bleaching

  • Perform basic makeup application

On top of these, every TESDA qualification includes basic competencies (workplace communication, teamwork, professionalism, occupational health and safety) and common competencies for the sector.
